Electrics

For some, this may be the hardest concept to grasp, but I'll keep it nice and simple for you!

OK you have your layout pinned to your wonderful baseboard, now you want some movement!

But first you will need the standard equipment:

The standard Controller. You control the speed and direction of your trains from here! This is the transformer which transforms the mains electric into the 12 volts that your engines need to run!
This slots into the track and connects to the wires from the controller so the power can flow to the track. The Remote control system! It's good if you want to walk around whilst controlling!

Now I will show some simple wiring diagrams. These just show which wires connect where. Where you stick your controllers and wires is up to you!

The basic setup! Very simple but I put a diagram anyway! For double track you just do the same. For if you want to install a button system like my layout! Just wire the button into the usual circuit.
For if you are wiring up the remote control system. If you want to add point motors to your points here is how it's done.
